Natural & Raw Wood Finishes

I've been noticing a trend with wood finishes such as limed oak, white washed and grey washed, being offered in several furniture and home decor lines. While these finishes aren't technically "new", they are being re-introduced to the marketplace, from IKEA to Crate and Barrel and everything in between. It's a nice change from the typical espresso, mahogany and painted furniture everyone carries! These finishes can lend themselves to more of a cottage or rustic look, but I also think you can mix and match with glossy white lacquer or colorful painted pieces.
