Quote of the Week

“There is a conception in this country about luxurious things that we have to save them for a time that’s right. But an object is truly luxurious if you allow it to be, if you use it. When you live with beautiful things you stimulate your mind, you enjoy life a little bit more."

  1. This is so true...it is a pity that most people would save beautiful things for a special day instead of enjoying them everyday so as to make their everday special! happy new week, Julie

  4. Such a beautiful quote! It is such a good reminder that life is too short to save special things for special occasions! Why not use them everyday?

  12. i love that quote and that way of thinking! i use real china cups, plates saucers, all mixed, nothing matches, each and every day. no special occasion necessary. sometimes when i visit people's homes and they've locked away special things like china plates, i often wonder just what exactly they are waiting for? ;)

  13. My jaw seriously dropped when I saw the dress, and I did a series of short quick breaths. Raaaawwrrr! That's my I-want-this-or-I-will-sink-into-a-deep-dark-pit-of-despair noise.
