Casa Bella

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I've haven't been posting quite as often as usual - it's been a crazy few weeks and I'm trying to keep up with 100 things at once. Modern Chic Home will be launching VERY soon....I'll keep you posted! Anyway, enjoy this house tour and have a great weekend...
This gorgeous home was recently featured in Veranda Magazine and was designed by Kathryn M. Ireland. It's a 5-bedroom Spanish Colonial Style home located in Southern California. The decor is so fresh and unpretentious. "Ireland blankets these interiors in a flurry of vibrant textiles, from paisleys and stripes to Marrakech prints and Central American florals, imparting a carefree, gypsy mien to the house. "My color palette typically comes from textiles and rugs. I layer as I go along," says the designer, whose global influences are reflected in her fabric collection "Mexico Meets Morocco." 1. "Mexico meets Morocco" is totally up my "so-real-surreal" aesthetic life style path.
Kathryn Ireland translates that concept so well.

  6. I absolutely love this house. The whole feel is exactly what my husband and I strive for in our home. It's got that relaxed come-in-and-have-a-margharita-vibe. Go barefoot... don't worry about coasters... yeah. I love it.
