Quote of the Week

In a time when nothing is forever and even tomorrow can feel uncertain, when our sense of self can be dashed in a day, by work gone wrong or gone mechanical, by love gone awry or a careless word, there is always bed...bed is a sanctuary...a place to center yourself, to feel protected until you are ready to face the world again.

  2. Hi Julie, what a lovely quote!

I am a big fan of Ilse Crawford, and have quite a few of her bits of wisdom on my blog..... her book 'Sensual Home' is one of my favourites, and the cover is a glorious grey suede sort of fabric that I love to touch (typical Ilse style, she loves her 'textures'!)

I enjoy your blog very much, particularly your quotes, which was one of the reasons I added you to my blog roll!

  7. So true... my bed and I do not like to be separated for too long a time, we miss each other too much haha. I miss my bed the most when I'm holiday. Adjusting to a different bed can be really hard. However, these beds look suitable enough! :D xxx

I will take the last bedroom. Headboard looks so cozy and "sheltering"? ...
