Coastal Chic Accents & Interiors

With summer just about here, I'm filled with thoughts of warm, sandy beaches and fresh ocean air. I love, love the beach and am grateful to live in California, just 10 minutes away from Laguna. My dream is to live in a beach house where friends and family can drop by anytime to kick up their feet and relax, including all of you of course! All of the rooms in today's post are exactly what I envision a beach house to be - a color palette of fresh blue, turquoise and white...accents of seashells and glass mixed with textured rattan, sisal and linen...a combination of dark and light woods - need I say more?! What do you love most about this style?

  1. These pics are divine! This coastal, laid-back style is my absolute favourite, even though I live more in the Aussie bush than the beach. But who cares, if I don't have the beach outside my window, I'll bring it inside with my furniture and accessories. Great post! K xx

First of all, let me say how envious I am of you for living there! We went to Newport Beach for April vacation & I kept asking my husband why we do not live here! The weather, the palm trees, the ocean, fashion island, etc., etc.! (there is the small problem of no job out there.. hee hee)! I love, love, love this post. Love every single image and everything in them! xo

  3. I love the frame of this amazing picture you dream about, which is the ocean. This frame is always changing its colors. Dark blue, soft sometimes, deep green, turquoise...So delicate your dream. Thank you for the lovely post. Bela.

It is so silly, but I live right near the beach, yet my home couldn't be less 'beach-cottagey'! Ironic?
I do love the style and that first dining room with the chandelier is just beautiful.. the colours are all so restful and fresh, but with sea shells, I am a fan of 'less is more' if you know what I mean?

  10. It was a nice surprise to see our Coral Chandelier in photo 10, looks beautiful against the blue shades! This chandelier is a best seller along with the coral sconces to match! Thanks!

  13. Wow - this style is just so lovely and chic. I am especially loving the vase fillers (have been looking for something like this for *ages*), and the glass lamps, too.

  17. Gorgeous collection. Have to say, that coral pillow from Pottery Barn is quite nice... being a custom gal that can be tough to say but there is just no denying some of the things they do so well with.

Thank you for the Coastal AHHHH on this dreary day here in MA!!
