I'm having one of "those" days...where I'm on the verge of completely burning out! Between keeping up with my online business, designing, blogging, my husband, family, friends, laundry, our home, bills, and on and on...I'm a little overwhelmed, to say the least! I don't vent very often here on my blog, but I'm sure most of you can relate. How do you keep up with life when it's swallowing you whole?!

On that note, today's post is short and sweet - just a few images that capture the last days of summer...I can hardly believe tomorrow is September. Enjoy your day and I'll be back tomorrow with something a little more exciting, I promise :)

  1. ooooh trust me, i'm right there with you! with full time classes at Harvard, a 17 year old (who has a million deadlines coming up towards college himself), blogging, working this summer and yes, love life, friends, family, attempting to enjoy the summer (not very successfully), and just plain having time to do nothing, i have my days. you are NOT alone! when you have those days, take a day break from blogging or do a short and sweet post like this, it actually take some pressure off. if you're like me, you want everything, at all times to run smoothly, and you know what, the older i get i have been better (not always mind you) about letting the little things go, or wait. go for a walk, everything will be ok, i'm headed out for one now ;)

  5. I find drinking some flavored rum is helpful! ;) lol Life is full of things to "Burn us all out!" You just have to remember to make time for yourself and BREATHE!!!! :) I don't always have time to do a blog post everyday. It is what it is! There is only 24 hours in a day after all. lol

  7. Those pics are so cute!

Ok and I totally feel you on this so don't feel bad talking about it:-) I am starting up my own boutique-ey craft business, but it is not supporting me financially (yet!) enough to quit my day job which is full time. Throw on top of that my blogging (can't give it up!), social life, a huge fam, and hubby and pups. Lots going on, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run!

At least you get to do what you love right? :-)Hang in there!

  8. I am sending you lots of ******gold stars***** to cheer you up! My dear mom died in April this year...she would always bake me her special Angel Food Confetti cake for my birthday (coming up in a few days)....which I will miss terribly this year.....To cheer me up, I always look at pretty pics. on the blogs...it 'takes me away' for a few minutes to somewhere nice.....Cheers, Valerie.

  12. Julie, this is something my friends and I always discuss! Why are we all trying to be super-women? Seems unrealistic, but we're all so driven! My aunt once told me, "Sometimes good enough is good enough" and I thought, hmm, that's true...
You do an amazing job - keep moving forward!

  15. Beautiful post!

Hand in there sweetheart, i'm sure you're doing brilliantly. I do sympathise though and have the exact same internal struggles sometimes. It's important to just take a bit of 'me' time, reassess that everything you're doing is either necessary or important to you, and do the things you love.
