Betsy Burnham's Design Studio

Since I started working from home two years ago, my one-bedroom apartment has gone from a large and spacious open-living floor plan, to a design studio / dining room / living room / corner office. While I do love working from home, I can only dream of having my very own design studio someday...I'd even settle for an extra bedroom at this point! While I wait for that day to come, I love looking at other creative people's work spaces for inspiration. Lonny Magazine featured Betsy Burnham in their Feb/March issue (pg.104) and her design studio is fantastic. Open, bright and organized - three key elements for a functional workspace. I'm not usually a fan of white walls but in this situation, the white walls and ceiling make a nice clean back drop for pops of color and pattern, without overwhelming the space. What would be your ideal workspace?!

  1. That is a dream work space! I too had a work space built into my 1 bedroom apartment until earlier this year. I am now fortunate enough to have a small studio room that's completely separate.

  2. My problem is as a designer I like too much and have a hard time picking one thing for me and it never fails once I finish a space I see beautiful images like the ones you posted today! The space by Nate is one of my favs and is on my inspiration board in my office!
