Voluminous Mirrors = Gorgeousness!

Mirrors can do wonders for a space, especially when they're hung in the right room, on the right wall. Mirrors can open up a small room or hallway by giving the illusion of depth and they can brighten up a dark room by reflecting light. I think every home should have at least one giant mirror! I especially love a tall floor mirror leaning against a wall...it always looks so fabulous :) Do you have one in your own home? If not, where would you place an over-sized mirror?

  2. I recently did a post on mirrors as well- love your collection of photos! The 6th room down (foyer) is so pretty- love those glass yellow jugs sitting on the floor. The bedroom with the vivid painting and blue chair is in my file of favourite rooms ever. I need to own at least one panton chair- I always adore tables that have one.
I totally agree that large mirrors can make a room. I have one and it is one of my favourite things in my home (I am posting a house tour this morning and it has pictures of my large leaning mirror.)
    Great post!
PS- I love the photo on the left of your blog with the pink lamps and that amazing pheasant paper from Timorous Beasties- I just ordered a sample of it and can't wait for it to arrive:)

  8. I love oversized mirrors. We have one, but the house could use a few more...I have been in the lookout for one for my studio for months.

  9. I absolutely love mirrors 150%! I'd have them in every room if possible because I love how the light reflects and makes space look bigger. If not for fearing that people would think I was so vain if they were in every room I'd probably fill all walls facing a window with them. Love these pics!

  13. I'm quite a fan of using old picture frames to house new mirrors - some utterly lovely mirrors in this post - the leaning mirrors especially are sublime! I remember reading somewhere that they suck the energy from a room but to my mind they bounce the light around and look pretty doing it :-)
