Inspiration Snapshot: Striped Hallway

Lots of inspiration in this narrow hallway! The wide black & white horizontal stripes transform this otherwise insignificant hallway into a grand space, drawing attention to the high ceiling. The turquoise chandelier adds a pop of color and the striped runner keeps everything grounded. I love how the owners (Jane and Billy Pritchard of Stray Dog Designs) created a photo wall on both sides with random frames in various finishes. See the rest of this house via Country Living!

  3. Certainly a bold move! I think the gallery walls strangely keep it from becoming an optical illusion! Turquoise chandelier is a great touch!

  4. Everytime I see striped walls my heart does a backflip. There's something about horizontal that really works in small spaces. I'm keen to paint stripes in my toilet and maybe laundry one day.
