Wedding Reception Inspiration: Outdoor Bliss

Is it really already Friday and November 2nd?! Where does the time go? And My son is 6 months old today, which really blows my mind! I feel like he was born yesterday. This week I planned on posting about my trip to Texas last week for Design Camp, but the past few days have been way too hectic (along with a very cranky teething baby), and time has not been on my side, so I'll be following up on that next week.

Anyway, my sister-in-law recently got engaged and last night she officially asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, which I'm very excited about :). The wedding will be in a church with the reception to follow at a local winery and vineyard. We popped a bottle of bubbly and excitedly discussed reception decor ideas, flowers, food and all of the other fun details for a wedding! I perused Pinterest for some inspiration on outdoor weddings and found some really special and fabulous ideas to share with the bride-to-be. My husband and I had an outdoor reception and it was so magical! What about you? Are you by any chance getting married or helping a friend plan their wedding? Do tell! Have a great weekend! xoxo - Julie

 {A makeshift table using wine barrels - love this! And how amazing is the floral chandelier hanging above? Image via}

{I've never seen a dining table this long, but it totally works and is quite breathtaking! There's just something about gathering together at one huge dining table, no matter how big or small the event. Image via}

{Love the metal heart and arrow. The wine barrel with fresh cut flowers in mason jars is easy and beautiful. Image via}

  1. Great photos!! I really love the barrels. I think it adds to the perfectness of an outdoor/vineyard wedding. I also am loving the photo with the long table.

  2. Somehow creating an outdoor wedding with a bit of a rustic flare seems so much easier,and in the end more beautiful and intimate!

  3. What a lovely round up! I would love an outdoor wedding, as long as I knew the wedding would be perfect!

    Happy Birthday to your little man!
