This dining room is a wonderful mix of rustic meets modern meets industrial chic! The raw wood table is beautiful and the oversized upholstered hostess chairs, along with the crystal clear ghost chairs all seem to compliment each other perfectly. The industrial pendants add a nice touch and I love the white wood ceiling. What else are you noticing about this space?

I'm afraid to say I've kicked off the new year with a terrible virus and am feeling awful. I slept all day yesterday with the curtains drawn, but after coming across this photo, I'd love to sink into this bed - the space is so fresh, bright and airy - I think it would make me feel better immediately! The simple eclectic design is stylish, chic and comfortable. Love the herringbone wood floor and that chair...ooh, and those lamps! The holidays are upon us which has the wheels in my head turning on fun ways to decorate this year. I wish I could paint my apartment front door red like the one in this snapshot, but I don't think the landlord would be too happy about it. The simple white wreath looks lovely, finished with a chunky burlap ribbon. And I love the boots filled with little gifts - such a great styling idea. How will you decorate your front door or porch for Christmas?!

Inspiration Snapshot :: Eclectic Chic Bedroom

 Have you checked out the latest issue of Adore Home magazine?! It's the California edition, my home state, and they did a fabulous job covering homes, hotels, shops, businesses and more! This bedroom shot caught my attention -  it's the guest room of the luxe holiday bungalow at the Viceroy in Palm Springs, designed by David Jimenez. What I love about it: the layers of texture and pattern, which give it dimension; the grasscloth wallpaper - a great way to introduce texture into a space; the over-sized orange geometric print rug, which really makes the blue chair pop; the crisp white bedding and the oversized table lamp! I'm also a big fan of leaning a tall mirror against the wall on a nightstand - very glam! Enjoy your day :)

Inspiration Snapshot :: Cheerful & Eclectic Girl's Room

How amazing is this wall? Designed by Mandi of the fabulous blog Vintage Revivals, she created this incredible hexagonal wall detail for her daughter's room and I think it's genius! Don't know if I'd ever have the patience to build all of those hexagons, but that's a job I could leave to the hubby (he loves projects like this one!). The color palette is fun and fresh youthful, and I adore the furniture and art as well. Click here to see the rest of the space. Inspiration Snapshot :: Black & White Stairway to Heaven

Black and white are just meant-to-be together, right?! This color combo is so classic and timeless, it will always remain a favorite of many for interiors and fashion. When I came across this black and white stair runner, it stopped me in my tracks! Talk about making a seriously fabulous statement that will have guests remembering your home forever ("remember that amazing house with the cool black & white stairs?!"). And if you don't have stairs or can't duplicate this look in your existing stairwell, there are plenty of other ways to incorporate pops of black and white into your decor. I've rounded up some great products below to give you a push in the right direction. This combo looks great paired with just about any accent color, so it's relatively easy to introduce into any space. What color combo are you loving these days? Are you a fan of B&W?

Hello friends. I've been a little MIA the last couple weeks here on the blog. My best friend's husband passed away unexpectedly recently and I've kind of dropped everything to be with her through this extremely difficult time. I'm just popping in today to say hello and to share this beautiful bedroom that I stumbled across by Erin Gates via Pinterest. I'm in love with the mix of pattern and color. Wouldn't you love to crawl into this bed with a good book and cup of tea? What are you loving about this space?

Inspiration Snapshot :: Boho Chic Dining

How adorable and stylish is this dining room? I spotted it on Pinterest (where else?!) and it immediately looked Inspiration Snapshot worthy! I love the mix of chair styles, the upholstered host and hostess chairs (a favorite of mine in dining rooms), and the super cute chair seat fabric in all different colors and patterns. The rustic natural wood table is a fabulous piece that really anchors the room. And what about that cool chandelier?! It feels so fresh and cheerful here! Inspiration Snapshot :: Eclectic Chic Foyer

When I came across this happy foyer on Pinterest, I knew right away it was 'inspiration snapshot' worthy. The first thing that caught my eye was the fantastic wallpaper - it's so fresh and whimsical! I'd love to use this in a project or my home someday. I'm also loving the the painted blue front door and unique botanical chandelier - both such unexpected accents that really tie everything together. The striped carpet on the stairs gives a little bit of structure to the whimsy bird pattern on the walls and the eclectic entry rug adds a pop of color and pattern. Cheerful, fresh and inviting - a great way to greet your guests when they first enter your home, don't you think?! Enjoy your day - the weekend is almost here :)

TRADhome Magazine spring 2013 issue is out and it's packed full of beautiful interiors, articles, resources and so much inspiration. The corner of this super stylish library, designed by Heather Garrett, caught my eye. The bold geometric wallpaper really brings the space to life, especially because everything else is very neutral. The Ghost chair is everything and that brassy gold table base adds an element of glam! What else are you loving from the latest TRADhome issue?

Inspiration Snapshot :: Cheerful Kitchen Nook

One of the best ways to make use of an awkward or tight corner in a space is to build a custom bench seat or banquette. This one is awesome for a few reasons - it provides ample seating, extra storage underneath with large drawers and is comfortable with a thick seat and back cushion. If you go this route, a pedestal table works best because it gives maximum leg room. I love the colorful artwork - it really brings the space to life and keeps the overall feeling more on the modern side, don't you think? And the amazing red lantern light fixture with subtle gold accents is the perfect eclectic piece to break up the "matchy" look of everything. The color palette is simple - gray, light blue and magenta, with pops of yellow and red. I don't know about you, but I'd love to enjoy my coffee and breakfast in this bright and airy space every morning! What's your dream kitchen nook / dining area?

I was planning on announcing my new team of contributors today, but it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. My son hasn't been feeling well which has delayed me getting much work done. The latest issue of Adore Home is packed with amazing interiors and so much inspiration! This bedroom is so bright and cheerful, yet refined and glamorous. I'd never in a million years think of doing busy pink bamboo wallpaper with a geometric print on the ceiling, but somehow it totally works! The all white bed & bedding, along with white carpet help anchor the room and give your eye a break from all the busyness. Inspiration Snapshot: DIY Bookcase Makeover

How fabulous is this bookcase?! It was transformed from a simple white piece of furniture to a stylish statement piece by blogger Sarah Gunn, just by using a stencil + paint (and a little patience)! I thought it was wallpaper at first glance, but she used a stencil from Royal Design Studio. Click here to see the before & after and click here for step-by-step instructions. Have you used stencils on any decorating projects? The wheels are spinning in my head on what I could do with some paint and a cool stencil around my apartment...

Inspiration Snapshot: Small + Stylish Bedroom

I'm dealing with a cranky, teething 10 month old today, which is leaving me with about 60 seconds to do this blog post! Do any of you mommies have days like these? You put the baby down for a nap and as soon as you sit down to answer and email, pay a bill or take a shower they're wide awake and ready to go?! Anyway, I love this bedroom designed by Michelle Adams from Lonny...she did an awesome job creating a cozy, chic, glamorous bedroom with very limited space. The leopard ottomans and polka dot painting add just enough pattern interest without overwhelming the space. Love the gallery style walls, mirrored chests and leopard lamp too!

I was flipping through the latest catalog from Ballard Designs and came across this beautiful space designed by Suzanne Kasler. Where do I begin?! I love the gallery wall of white frames and the sunburst mirror mounted in the middle - something I'd never think of doing. The mix of powdery blues, neutrals and natural wood accents is refreshing and inviting. The Greek key pattern on the chair and ottoman is fresh and timeless. The vignette of accessories on the table adds a nice touch, along with the fabulous iron chandelier. What are you liking about this space?

Inspiration Snapshot: Clever Art + TV Wall

Wall mounting a flat screen TV looks great, but what do you do when there's a ton of extra wall space around it? Depending on how high your ceilings are and the size of your TV, creating a gallery wall around your flat screen may be just the solution. The TV in this space almost disappears with the interesting art prints surrounding it. Clean lines and simple frames keep the wall from looking overdone and cluttered. I also love the kelly green console - what a fabulous pop of color! What do you think about this idea? Is your TV wall mounted or on a stand?

How beautiful is this office space? The blue chinoiserie wall mural seriously "makes" whole design! Other highlights: the quartz table lamp, elegant ivory desk, gold sequin pillow on the slipcovered wingback chair, the dramatic silk drapes and the sisal rug for a layer of texture. I think I'd be super productive if my home office looked like this! Are you loving this space as much as I am?!

Inspiration Snapshot: Eclectic Chic Dining

Today is a great day! My husband was offered an incredible job after nearly two years of unemployment, and he happily accepted. God is so great and faithful to his promises - I feel truly blessed and can't wait to see what other incredible opportunities he has in store for us this year!

This fabulous little dining room caught my eye, particularity the striped chairs and awesome chandelier. I love the eclectic mix of pieces in this space - the zinc table top paired with a wood base, chairs upholstered in  fabulous black and white striped fabric and trimmed with nail heads, the vibrant turquoise ottoman for additional seating, and the fun piece of art. It's a great reminder that not everything always has to "match," especially in a dining room. Sometimes the more you mix it up, the better and more original the outcome! What do you like about this space?
