BM Archives :: 8 Reasons to Get Excited for Fall

I posted this last year and it still applies today! Fall is here and I'm excited - what about you?!

Well, it's time for me to accept that summer is officially over and Fall has arrived, something that's always a little tough for me since Summer is my favorite season! Although the weather here in southern California feels like the middle of July, that "fall feeling" is in the air and I'm looking forward to cooler weather arriving soon. To fully embrace the season changing, here are some of the things I look forward to most during fall. What are you looking forward to most this season?

No.1 - Decorating your front porch with pumpkins and and maybe a wreath for your door

No.2 - A great excuse to purchase some new pillows and a cozy throw for your living room sofa

No.3 - Homemade stews and soups - the season for comfort food!

No.4 - Cozy nights curled up by the fire

No.5 - Creating festive centerpieces and arrangements for the dining room and kitchen

No.6 - Catching up on reading a good book on a cold and rainy night

No.7 - Lighting tealights all around the house for a cozy ambiance

No.8 - Hosting an intimate Fall dinner party with your closest friends

Christmas Decorating Theme: Natural Wonderland

Happy Friday! I'm so happy the weekend is here :) Today's Christmas theme is centered around "Natural Wonderland", which is perfect for those of you who enjoy simple, elegant and organic decor during the holidays. This look is inspired by nature with fresh greens, natural woods and textured fabrics like burlap and linen. I haven't tried this theme out myself, but am really drawn to the simplicity and beauty of it! How do you plan on decorating your home / tree this year? ***Have a wonderful weekend! Be sure to visit again next week to get the scoop from several guest bloggers on their Top 5 Christmas Gift Picks. xoxo - Julie

Christmas Decorating Theme: Vintage Chic

Happy December 1st! Just 24 short days until Christmas. Today's Christmas decorating theme is centered around the theme "Vintage Chic" with a modern twist. I love the combination of seafoam green and bronze, accented with white and silver mercury glass! It's elegant, fresh and a nice change from using the traditional Christmas green color. I've rounded up some fantastic inspiration photos as well as a few of my favorite products out there to achieve this look. What do you think about this Christmas theme? Please feel free to comment on any ideas or additional suggestions! Cheers :)
