Wedding Reception Inspiration: Outdoor Bliss

Is it really already Friday and November 2nd?! Where does the time go? And My son is 6 months old today, which really blows my mind! I feel like he was born yesterday. This week I planned on posting about my trip to Texas last week for Design Camp, but the past few days have been way too hectic (along with a very cranky teething baby), and time has not been on my side, so I'll be following up on that next week.

Anyway, my sister-in-law recently got engaged and last night she officially asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, which I'm very excited about :). The wedding will be in a church with the reception to follow at a local winery and vineyard. We popped a bottle of bubbly and excitedly discussed reception decor ideas, flowers, food and all of the other fun details for a wedding! I perused Pinterest for some inspiration on outdoor weddings and found some really special and fabulous ideas to share with the bride-to-be. My husband and I had an outdoor reception and it was so magical! What about you? Are you by any chance getting married or helping a friend plan their wedding? Do tell! Have a great weekend! xoxo - Julie

{I've never seen a dining table this long, but it totally works and is quite breathtaking! There's just something about gathering together at one huge dining table, no matter how big or small the event. Image via}

Wedded Bliss: Fresh, Modern & Cheerful Outdoor Reception

With the spring and summer months here, it's officially wedding season. My husband and I will be attending 3 weddings within a 2 month period and with that come bridal showers and wedding gift shopping! Needless to say, I have weddings on the brain. Do you have any upcoming weddings to attend?! I was browsing through one of my favorite sites, Once Wed, and came across this beautiful outdoor reception I just had to share with you! The color scheme is simple with zesty lemon yellow and crisp white, inspired by the landscape & architecture of the building (at least I'm assuming). Modern centerpieces were created using succulents, surrounded by bud vases filled with simple yellow flowers called Billy Balls. I love the cupcake and candy dessert table - such a fun alternative to a traditional cake. Enjoy and to see the rest of this reception, click here.
