Transitioning Into Fall

We're just a couple days away from the "official" first day of Autumn and I'm so ready. Even though Summer is my favorite season, it's always nice to transition into the cooler months of Fall and finally get some relief from the hot summer days. I'm looking forward to watching the leaves change into rich colors of red and yellow on the trees; I'm looking forward to hot cups of coffee and cider on cool nights; I'm looking forward to big pots of homemade soup; I'm looking forward to fires in the fireplace; and I'm looking forward to adding a few touches of fall decor around our apartment! Today I've rounded up some of my favorite ideas to make the transition into the new fall season. What are you looking forward to most this fall?

[Add a colorful throw to your sofa or favorite upholstered chair]

[Have friends over for dinner and serve up homemade Roasted Butternut Squash Soup]

[Fill Mason jars with votive candles and place all around your home to create a soft ambiance]

[Fill your home with the scent of freshly baked Oatmeal Raisin Cookies!]

Kasthall Rugs

I'm excited to introduce you to a company I recently learned about, which has the most incredible line of rugs! Kasthall has been designing and manufacturing unique woven and handtufted rugs since 1889. Since its foundation the company has been operating from its own factory in Kinna, an area rich in textile manufacturing history in the west of Sweden, which is where they make their rugs today.They care a great deal for the environment and are environmentally certified, which is always a plus! If any of you are in the trade and happen to be attending the "What's New What's Next" event at the New York Design Center today, be sure to swing by their showroom to see their collection of amazing rugs.
