Featured Designer: Bill Sofield

An amazingly talented designer, recognized in the Interior Design Hall of Fame, Bill Sofield is known for his "unerring ability to reinterpret modernism." His most famous of projects was designing 400 boutiques for Gucci around the world. He later teamed up with Tom Ford to design stores for Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Boucheron after they were acquired by the Gucci Group. In addition to his many design projects, Bill spent three years apprenticing with an Italian woodworker on the Upper East Side. He created a furniture line for Baker three years ago, that's been described as a "deco-infused meditation on dark woods." Check out his beautiful work...

How magnificent is this Skate Server? It would be a stunning accent to any space. Made from solid walnut with walnut veneers. I want one!!! (Maybe when I win the lottery...)

1) The Kim Lantern is made of cast brass twigs and finished in Antique Gold - I love the natural organic look of this lamp! 2) Made from a hand-carved wood block, the Museum Lamp is just exquisite! The golden kidney shaped shade adds a touch of glam - the perfect combo.
I'm in love with the over sized Manor Wing Chair! I'd like to curl up next to the fireplace with a good book in this beauty! Visit Baker to see his entire collection. It's just incredible!
