When it comes to window treatments, I like to keep the designs simple and elegant. I mostly use side panels which add just enough texture and fabric to soften a window. I also like roman shades. I'm not a fan of swags or valances or anything that obstructs the view beyond the window. Window treatments should enhance a window, not overpower or hide it. Here are some sensational ideas for dressing up your windows...

Panels that I designed for a master bedroom. I used the patterned fabric as a 20" band at the bottom of the panel.

Another one of my designs. I used this exquisite (and very expensive!)
Osborne & Little fabric to create an elegant look with a lot of contrast.

these are all great examples. window treatments are always tricky for me, because honestly, i'd rather not have them at all, but sometimes they can add so much to a room. my favorite is the first one with the 20" band at the bottom. very pretty!
I've been eyeing the West Elm drapes for a while now. I need to just bite the bullet and go get them!
The ones your made for the bedroom are gorgeous :)

We have moved house while we build and I really wanted to include a daggy photo of me on my first day at school in the early 1970's... do you think I can find the box that it's in!!?? A-M xx
