I wish you all a very happy weekend...whether you're planning on celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow or not :) My hubby and I decided to lay low and hang out at home this year - we don't have the money or the enthusiasm this year to jump on the V-Day wagon! A couple of glasses of wine, a nice home-cooked meal...that's what we'll be doing. What are you up to? Any special plans?!

  1. We're doing the same thing as you -- we're going to make a nice home-cooked meal... ravioli (made with our new pasta maker) and Caesar salad with lemon mousse for dessert -- yum!! No flowers or gifts, just spending time with each other :-) And our three dogs!!

  2. In Denmark it is not that common to celebrate Valentines Day, even though the stores have tried to make it a big deal for the past five to ten years.
We are doing the Valentines day with are two lovely kids. We are going to the cinema and then going out eating in a restaurent. Nice with a family day.

  4. Valentine's Day was our first date 11 years ago, and we have been doing the same thing each year. Just as that first night, we go to our local Ruby's Diner for dinner. (hey...we were 16 and 17 back then, no fancy dates for us!) I never need fancy or expensive things, and this is the annual tradition I look forward to the most!

  10. Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day! We drove out to a local winery, did a tasting, bought some wine and went to the local watering hole for a great meal that cost little over half what it would have in our city. It was nice to do something romantic and special without breaking the bank. Plus it was bright and sunny so we pretended it was Spring!
