  2. oh, I so agree and i love them stacked right from the floor like they are in the 2nd from the last photo. maybe not that high :) but stacked just the same. with sculpture or anything else on top. books are warm and they add interest. happy monday!

    I believe the 2nd photo from Architectural Digest is of Diane Keaton's home/art. It reminds me of Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.

  5. Teri's right, it's Diane Keaton's library! It's a very inspiring home even if she's got a tad more money than most of us...
    I love books, but making them look good on shelves is quite a decorating challenge! These photos provide both inspiration and hope for my own shelves =)
