Book Review - Design 100: The Last Word on Modern Interiors

Along with so many beloved shelter magazines, Metropolitan Home magazine folded last year, after being the standard bearer for modern home design in the US for many years. Its annual Design 100 issue spotlighted the best in the world of international design. Although the magazine is no more, its long-standing features editor Michael Lassell has created the stunning book DESIGN 100: THE LAST WORD ON MODERN INTERIORS, which was published last fall. I was thrilled when the folks at Filipacchi Publishing recently sent me a copy of the book to review and share with my lovely blog readers! I know many of you love design books and magazines as much as I do, which is why this book is so fabulous. It features 100 homes, houses, apartments, lofts or rooms by the best designers and architects of our time, many of which I've bookmarked over the years and shared on my blog. I spent a good portion of my lazy Sunday afternoon reading through Design 100 and sipping on iced tea, one of my favorite ways to relax on the weekends. I selected a few of my favorite images from the book to give you an idea of what you can expect! {Click here to purchase your copy!}

The book features homes in the US, Canada, Mexico, England, France and Italy and the work of major architects - from Hugh Newell Jacobsen and Maya Lin to Steven Shortridge - and contemporary designers including Jonathan Adler, Jamie Drake, Kelly Hoppen, Todd Oldham, Vicente Wolf and many more.
