A Place to Unwind

Sometimes the days feel like a whirlwind. The hours fly by - morning soon becomes night and before you know it, it's time for bed. Several times a week I catch myself working way too late (working from home, it's easy to do), which leaves me little time to unwind and have some "me" time. One thing that would help me relax after a busy day would be a cozy little nook where I could curl up with a glass of wine or cup of tea and a good book. Sometimes we all just need to take a moment and step outside our life to reflect and regroup. Do you have a place where you can retreat to when you need an escape? Please share :)

  1. As I sit here at work with a mojito hangover, all I can think about is how lovely those spaces look. Perfect for an afternoon nap!

  2. So lovely...I wish I had the purple velvet chair to kick back in! No special wind down ritual...
However, I posted today on a collage of frames, similar to the photo of the yellow ones you had posted a week or so ago. Came out pretty fun, check it out!

  3. The 3rd photo, the cabana-like chair = awesomeness! I would love to have that in our backyard, and perhaps a pool too, they go hand-in-hand don't you think?!

And the 8th photo, love the framed frabic that matches / compliments the chair. I want to do that now. Fun!

  5. Definitely! I love going to the cozy second cup in my old neighborhood. It's on a quaint yet trendy part of of the city. I buy magazines and a vanilla latte...reading for hours and sometimes I bring my laptop to write on my blog. I get lost there...the people are so friendly, I used to go every Saturday. Everytime I go back, it's like home.

All beautiful images there, and some seriously cosy nooks! I don't actually have one I can escape to at home, but I head outdoors and spend some time in nature, or go to my Mum's and just get lost in her lovely garden.

  8. My bedroom. It's my safe haven. Egyptian cotton sheets, the scent of Aspen Flower, the Netflix instant queue, and Mr. Ben and Mr. Jerry. I love the pictures you have posted, especially the second to the last one. I'm currently on the hunt for such a chair.
