Can't Get Enough of Kelly Green

There's something sort of glamorous and regal about the color Kelly Green, especially paired with gold or black. This is one color I have yet to use in a design project, but after gathering together all of these gorgeous images, I'm definitely ready to! The intensity of this color may initially scare some people off, but as you can see in each of these examples, there are many tasteful ways to pull off Kelly green, depending on how much or how little you want to use. What do you think of this color? Have you or would you consider using it in your home?

  2. You're right, it is a very regal color. I like it the best on painted furniture. I just don't think I would have the courage to paint an entire room kelly green though!

  3. i have an unhealthy obsession with the color green so i tend to stray away from it in my home and my clothes. i feel once i let myself wear it or live in it, i wont stop!

  5. Molly Luetkemeyer's use of it (2nd image) is one of my favorite uses. Of course, I will always heart the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica - love the way she mixed it with gray/silver and white throughout the spaces.

  6. The green hallway with the black and white floors is just stunning. It is a difficult colour to work with, but when it is done right, it's just amazing. As in all these examples. Wonderful post!

  7. It isn't normally my go to color, but I do like how it looks in these rooms - may have to reevaluate using it more often!
    Much love,

  16. I have never been a fan of green, but it's funny because the other day watching the Kardashians Kourntey had a killer green chair in her living room. I think this shade in small doses is growing on me.

  17. So funny that I happened to come across your (lovely!) blog today, along with this post, as I'm simultaneously searching Pinterest for "Kelly Green" images. I'm thinking of recovering my couch in it, with white piping, then working in black and leopard as accent. Something I've never done, so I'm excited!
