Amy Butler is one of my favorite artist & textile designers. Her designs are always so fresh and cheerful. I hadn't been over to her website in a while and was thrilled to discover she has designed and recently launched her first bedding collection, which is absolutely stunning! Here's what Amy had to say about it:

Tips on How to Transform Your Bedroom

As a follow-up to Wednesday's post about the importance of a beautiful, relaxing bedroom (not a junk-yard / storage room), I searched online for great deals and easy ways to transform your own bedroom in to a retreat...

Paint is the easiest and cheapest way to dramatically change the look and feel of a room. Paint your entire room in a soft blue like Sereneta for a tranquil feel. Or, paint three of the walls a soft neutral, such as Frappe, and paint the bed wall or main wall a bold accent color like Lucerne, Agave or Kona. Target has an entire line of fantastic headboard slipcovers. Any one of these would look beautiful against a painted accent wall!

Tranquility at Home

I have been going through a rough patch since finding out I'm being laid off in the near future. I've been a little on edge and am finding it hard to focus - even on things to post for my blog! I need to surround myself with some calm, relaxing things so here's what I found...

I was flipping through the April issue of Elle Decor and landed on an ad by Lulu DK Matouk, featuring their Tiger Lily Bed Linens. An immediate visit to their website had me in awe of their beautiful bedding collections. The patterns and colors combinations are so fresh and luxurious. An absolutely fantastic new resource! Transform your bedroom into a five star hotel with the Honeydew Bed, which features a mix of different patterns in the honeydew color. Each pattern comes in a variety of colors, allowing you to "customize" the collection to your liking.

The Chocolate Bed is absolutely decadent! Again, by mixing different patterns and colors, this combination is rich and stunning!

I love Pottery Barn and was thrilled to see all of the new and exciting patterns and colors they've come out with for Spring! The Brooks Armless Chair in Maxine print fabric . The large pattern and vibrant colors give this floral print an updated and fresh look. The bold colors and patterns look wonderful against the crisp white sofa. What a refreshing contrast. This is a photo of my fantasy beach bungalow! Tres magnifique!
