Shades of Gray

I woke this morning to the soft sound of rain outside my bedroom window. It's been in the 80's the last couple of weeks here in southern California, so to finally have a rainy day makes me smile :) It's finally feeling like fall! With so many shades of gray in the sky on days like this, I decided to do a post on the beauty and simplicity of gray interiors. How do you feel about the color gray? I Heart Kelly Wearstler

Kelly Wearstler has been a favorite designer of mine for many for years. It's been exciting to watch her  evolve as a designer and see her expand her brand into other creative areas besides interior design. Kelly has managed to successfully launch a clothing & accessories line, jewelry line and home accessories collection, among many other notable collaborations and several published books. What I love and admire about this incredibly talented woman is how EVERYTHING she does - whether it's the way she dresses, designs a space, creates a necklace or piece of clothing - it ALL flows together cohesively and screams "Kelly Wearstler"! She has definitely defined her brand brilliantly, wouldn't you agree? I've grouped together some of the inspiration snapshots she's shared on her blog (which I'm obsessed with!), along with the exciting new collections she's designed. It's evident that natural stones, precious gems and textured materials are a huge influence on everything she designs. You can really see a common thread through everything she does!

Timeless Trend: Lattice & Geometric Prints

I'll never tire of incorporating geometric prints into my design projects. There's something very timeless about geometrics, especially lattice and chain link patterns. They're great for adding a modern touch to a space and offer a clean, tailored look. One thing's for sure, a little geometric can go a long way. How do you feel about lattice & geometric prints?
