Vintage Inspired Kitchen Linens

I've been a busy bee the last couple of months, preparing for my upcoming online retail boutique, Modern Chic Home! My favorite part of this whole process is searching for fun, unique and fresh items to sell - things you don't see everywhere. I'm considering adding some of these adorable vintage-inspired aprons, kitchen towels and linens to the mix of accessories, pillows and home decor on the site. What do you think? Would you purchase any of these for yourself or maybe a gift for someone? Prices aren't listed, but everything is under $40. And thanks, as always, for your comments and feedback - I appreciate it!

Cozy Kitchens

I recently met with a prospective client who's main challenge is lack of space. She and her husband live in an adorable little home just outside of LA, built in the 1930's. The kitchen is teeny and has a small little area that would be perfect for a built-in banquette, so I set out to find some inspiration photos to inspire the space. Do you have a small kitchen? What are some ways you've maximized your space?

Zelda Sweetwater

I recently received an email introducing me to Zelda Sweetwater, a fabulous line of vintage inspired swimsuits. Anna, the creator and designer, spent many years in the fashion industry and found it disappointing that uncomfortable shaped bathing suits are the norm and so many women dread shopping for them (I think we can all relate)! "With my love of vintage silhouettes in mind, I decided to create a small collection of bathing suits that reflected the charm of the "bathing beauties" of yesteryear. The result of which is Zelda Sweetwater. The bathing suits have all been produced in New York City and have been carefully crafted." I'm in love with the entire collection! They're not only sexy and so feminine, they're extremely well made, crafted like a high-end garment. I think I'd feel instantly glamorous sporting one of these (maybe along with some red lipstick). I'd like to put one on right now and head to the beach - it's been a hot month here in Southern California. Enjoy your weekend :)

Home Tour: Stockholm

I fell in love with this adorable little home for sale in Stockholm! It only has 1.5 rooms and 1 bath but looks spacious enough for one or two people to live comfortably. The overall feel is open, airy and fresh, especially with the crisp white walls and pops of color. To see the entire home, click here. P.S. - I mentioned last week that I'd be sharing my discoveries from the LA Mart...I'm still planning on it! Hopefully I'll have time to share tomorrow :)
