Farewell to 2009! Hello to 2010!

Wow, another year has passed by...2009 was an interesting year for me - I celebrated my 2-year wedding anniversary, turned 29, welcomed my beautiful niece Skye into the world (my sister's 4th child), continued taking new design clients, launched my online retail shop (my dream!), squeaked by financially in this tough economy without loosing anything major, remained healthy (never even got a cold! knock on wood..) and for the most part, kept a positive and optimistic attitude through a few rough patches! God has truly blessed me and I thank him for all of the wonderful people in my life - my husband, family and friends :) How was your 2009? Good, bad, uneventful? Glad it's over? I want to thank each and every one you for your continued support of belle maison - it's because of you that I continue blogging away about my passion for design and beautiful things! On Trend in 2010: Neon

According to Elle Decor, we can expect to see the bright, strong colors of neon in 2010! I'm having flashbacks of being a child in the 80's and sporting neon t-shirts, bike shorts, jewelry, hair scrunchies...and now we're seeing it make a come-back in design and home decor. I've rounded up a mix of super bright spaces bursting with color as well as interiors with neutral backgrounds accented with pops of color in artwork and accessories. How do you feel about this trend? Could you live with so much color?

Cheerful Christmas Decor

Is it really Christmas Eve?! I can't believe Christmas is here...where does the time go! Anyway, I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas! May yours be filled with lots of love and happiness and good times with family and friends. I'm looking forward to a big Christmas dinner tonight with my husband's family and then spending tomorrow with my family, including my (2) nieces and (2) nephews! God Bless and cheers!
